The Simpson Life: : Father's Day, Seattle & The Famous Elzey/Ormiston Family Reunion

Trevor had his official first Father's Day this year! I wanted to make it one that he'll remember. He definitely got spoiled by Bentley and I. He got a huge box of all of his favorite things, and Bentley made him pictures of his hand prints and foot prints. We ended the day with a little family walk! I'd say Trevor really enjoyed his first Father's Day.

Two weekends ago, we made a little trip over to Seattle! My mom, step dad and 18 younger siblings moved an hour north of Seattle so we went to visit them. We haven't seen them for at least a couple months so it was nice to see them after awhile. Their new house is really nice and big, fits all of them perfectly.

On our way back home, we decided to stop at the Seattle temple and my was it absolutely beautiful! After so many ups and downs, I finally get to go through the temple and get my endowments out in October! I seriously can't wait, it's about dang time too! We also will finally be sealed as husband and wife and as a family in November. We're counting down the days! It's been a long road coming for us, but it's going to be so worth it in the end.

Bentley also turned 8 months last month! Totally forgot to do his 8 month update and take a picture! But here it is!

Bentley Jess 8 month update:

-He can say mom!

-He's standing/pulling himself up on everything. Also, walking along furniture.

-His top two front teeth are coming in.

-We're pretty sure he weighs about 28 pounds now.

-He's such a happy boy all the time and we love being his parents!

4th of July weekend, we had the opportunity to go down to Utah and attend my family reunion! It was so much fun. Elzey/Ormiston reunions are always a blast! Trevor and Bentley finally got to meet all of my second cousins and a few of my first cousins for the first time.

We had so much fun just hanging out, playing games, catching up with family, playing in the lake, getting some sun, sumo wrestling, eating lots of food and making fun memories!

After we got back from my family reunion we went and saw my Papa Elzey who broke his hip. He looks pretty good for having a hip replacement! So glad we could see him before we took off back to Washington.

I love that Bentley gets to come visit his great grandparents Elzey, grandpa Elzey and all of his aunts and uncles and cousins on my side. He loves seeing them and getting to play with them!

Trevor has some family in Utah, and this trip we went and saw his Aunt Michelle and Uncle Clyde who live in Park City. It's nice that we also get to see some of his family while we're in Utah! We had dinner with them and just say and visited with them. Bentley loved them and their dog Coco as well!
